Head Coaches Needed! And Other Fall Ball Info.

Thank you for registering your player(s) for Fall Ball!
We have had record numbers of registrations so far and this is looking to be our biggest season yet!

We need Head Coaches!
We already have enough players registered to form 50 teams, but only 27 people have volunteered to be a Head Coach.
Every division needs more Head Coaches.

Don't sit idly by and hope that someone else will step up to Coach.
We need YOU to volunteer today!

To volunteer, log into your account on the website, click on "Volunteer" on the left side, and then click on "Find Volunteer Roles" in the top right.  Scroll down to 2022 Fall Ball Baseball and select "Head Coach".  If you already volunteered as an Assistant Coach, follow these steps to change your volunteer status to Head Coach.  It's that easy!

Coaching Fall Ball is not a huge commitment.  It's just two days per week for ten weeks!  Each team practices one weekday evening each week and plays one game each Sunday.  As a Head Coach, you will get to pick your practice day!  You are also welcome to team up with a friend or two to coach a team.  And don't worry if you will miss a few games or practices.  All you have to do is assign an Assistant Coach or another parent to take over for you while you're gone.

Team Formation:

Tee Ball, Rookies and CAPS:

Tee Ball, Rookies (coach pitch) and CAPS (machine pitch) teams will be formed at Orientation on Sunday, August 28th.  The times for Orientation will be sent out as that day approaches.  A few days prior to Orientation, we will send an email with all the Head Coaches for each division and the day/time/location that they chose for their weekday practice.  Families should come to Orientation knowing which Head Coach(es) have practice day/time/locations that work for them, and also which friends they hope to team up with.  At Orientation, families will be able to select their Head Coach and form teams with their friends.  Although we want every player to be placed on the team of their choosing, please keep in mind that there is a limit to how many players can be placed on each team.  Some coaches are very popular, but we can't allow all 23 players who want to play for Coach Popular to be on the same team.  Tee Ball and Rookies teams will be limited to 10 players, and CAPS teams will be limited to 11 players.  That said, please be flexible and have a couple Head Coaches in mind when attending Orientation.  If you cannot attend Orientation, please have a friend select your player's team for you.  Any player who is not signed up on a team during Orientation will be placed on a team by league administrators who will attempt to take practice day nonavailability and friends requests into account.

Minors Gold, Minors Maroon, Intermediate, and Juniors:
Minors Gold, Minors Maroon, Intermediate, and Juniors teams will be formed at a modified draft on Saturday, August 27th.  Head Coaches will be allowed to draft players for their team, but will be required to respect practice day nonavailabilities and strongly encouraged to respect friend requests and coach preferences.  This draft will not be structured like the Spring Season draft, and will be more of a collaborative effort to place each player on a teams that fits their needs/requests, while also attempting to keep each team equally competitive within their division.

Updated Practice Days, Friend Requests, and Coach Preferences:

If you need to update your practice days, friend requests, and coach preferences you may do so by logging into your account anytime prior to August 1st.  On August 1st, the data will be downloaded so players can be grouped together by friend and coach requests, so any changes made after July 31st will not be viewed by League Administrators.  Additionally, please make sure that you completed the Friend Request and Coach Preference properly.  For Friend Requests, you must put both the first and last name of the friend, and you may only list one friend per box on the registration.  If you fail to put both first and last name or if you list more than one friend in each box, then your request will be thrown out. You are allowed two total friend requests, one per box.  The likelihood that your friend request will be honored increases significantly if the friend you request also requests you!  The same applies to Coach Preferences.  You may either write the first and last name of the coach you prefer, or write NOT followed by the coach's name.  Listing more than one coach will cause your preference to be thrown out.

Division Change Requests

If you requested on your registration that you player play in a different division that where they were registered, that transfer has been made.  Please go back into your registration and confirm that your player(s) are registered in the correct division(s).  If something is incorrect for, please contact the Player Agent at [email protected]

Schedules and First Games:

Game schedules will be announced after teams form and before the first game on September 11th . We will publish the game schedule as soon as we can, but please be patient as a schedule of 50 teams takes some time to create.  Games will always be on Sundays and will have start times from 8:00am through 4:30pm.  Games will be played at both Bill Cleator Community Park and Point Loma Community Park.

Thank you again for registering your player(s) for Fall Ball this season!  We look forward to seeing everyone one the fields in September!
