All Stars Frequently Asked Questions
How are All Stars players chosen?
Players are chosen at the All Star Player Selection Committee which usually meets in early May. The All Star Player Selection Committee consists of the President, Player Agent, division coordinators, and division managers. The committee will make recommendations to the All Star Managers for player selection, but the All Star manager has the final determination.
How are All Star Managers chosen?
The All Star Managers and Coaches Selection Committee which consists of the President, Player Agent, and division coordinators select All Star managers, and then the managers elect their coaches, but those coaches must be approved by the committee. All Stars managers and coaches must have managed or coached in the age group that they will manage or coach for All Stars. Regular season managers are considered first for All Star managers, but regular season coaches may also be chosen to manage an All Star team.

Will the All Star fee be refunded if my player doesn't make an All Star team?

What is the difference between Little Stars, Future Stars, and Little League All Stars?
Little Stars and Future Stars are not Little League sanctioned tournaments. Instead, they are fun four-day tournaments put on by leagues in our district for the enjoyment of players who are still too young to participate in Little League All Star tournaments. Because Little Stars and Future Stars are not Little League sanctioned tournaments, they do not have all the administrative requirements. All that is needed to register a player for Little Stars or Future Stars is to register on the website. No other paperwork is required.
What is Little Stars and who is eligible?
Little Stars is a tournament for CAPs players who are league age 7-9. Minors players are not eligible for Little Stars. The tournament is hosted by Clairmont Hilltoppers Little League and Rancho Penasquitos Little League, alternating every other year. The tournament is played Thursday-Sunday over Father's Day weekend. Each team usually plays four games during the weekend. Peninsula is usually invited to submit two Little Stars teams to the tournament, but that depends on tournaments size and field availability. All that is needed to register a player for Little Stars is to register on the website. No other paperwork is required.
What is Future Stars and who is eligible?
Future Stars is a tournament for Minors players who are league age 8-9. CAPS players are not eligible for Future Stars. The tournament is hosted by Scripps Ranch Little League and played Thursday-Sunday over Father's Day weekend. Each team usually plays three games during the weekend. Peninsula sends one Future Stars team to this tournament. All that is needed to register a player for Future Stars is to register on the website. No other paperwork is required.
Why is so much paperwork required for the Little League All Stars tournaments?
Per Little League rules, players must live or attend school in a league's boundary (or have a proper waiver on file) in order to be eligible for All Stars with that league. Players must also meet strict age requirements. Because of this, players must prove that they meet residency and age requirements by turning in paperwork and having their birth certificate verified by a District Official. Specific information about paperwork requirements is emailed to the entire league each March, prior to All Star registration.
For Little League All Stars, does it matter which division a player played in for the regular season?
No, Little League All Stars is based on age, not regular season division.

What are the minimum play requirements for All Stars?
In Tournament Rule 9, all Tournament Teams must adopt a policy of a continuous batting order that will include all players on the team affidavit present at the start of the game, to appear in the batting order.
