2026 General Amended Rules
“Official Little League Baseball Regulations and Playing Rules 2024” shall govern all games, as published by Little League Baseball Incorporated, Williamsport, PA, and as modified by the following local rules adopted by the Peninsula Little League Board of Directors.
It is strongly recommended that parents, managers, and coaches familiarize themselves with all league rules.
Manager & Coach Expectations
All managers and coaches must uphold the highest standards of conduct and act in accordance with league rules. They must serve the overall benefit of all children in the league and not act solely for the benefit of their own team.
Managers and coaches represent Peninsula Little League at all times during games and whenever present at Bill Cleator Park or any league activity. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with the Parent/Player Code of Conduct.
Failure to meet these standards may result in disciplinary action, dismissal, or removal from the park by the Board of Directors.
Equipment Responsibilities
- Managers are responsible for all equipment taken from sheds.
- Do not leave bases, rakes, pitching machines, generators, or other equipment outside.
- Equipment sheds must remain neat, orderly, and locked at all times.
Home Team Responsibilities (Except Tee Ball)
- Drag and water the field.
- Fill holes and rake around home plate, bases, and pitching mound.
- Chalk 2" wide lines (base lines, batter’s boxes, coach boxes).
- Conduct field safety check before game.
- Fill holes at bottom of backstop.
- Install electronic scoreboard (except Rookies & CAPS regular season).
- Set up pitching machine (CAPS only).
- Clean home-side dugout and stands.
Visiting Team Responsibilities (Except Tee Ball)
- Break down field and return bases.
- Rake mound and batter’s box.
- Drag and water field (4–5 sprinkler rounds).
- Return scoreboard to booth properly.
- Clean visiting-side dugout and stands.
- Ensure sheds and score booths are locked.
Weekday Games: The visiting manager must remain until the Snack Shack closes for safety.
Scorekeeping
- Tee Ball & Rookies: No score kept.
- CAPS Tournament: Home team supplies scorekeeper and scoreboard operator.
- Minors & Intermediate: Home team uses iPad/GameChanger; visiting keeps paper book.
- Juniors: Home team supplies official scorekeeper and returns scorebook.
Tee Ball Responsibilities
- Home: Set up bases, benches, fence, shade.
- Visitor: Return equipment and lock shed.
2026 Ground Rules
Field #1 – Minors/Majors
- Dead ball area marked from dugout pole to backstop pole.
- Ball touching dugout concrete = dead ball.
- Fair ball under/over fence = Ground Rule Double.
- Left field gate must remain closed.
- Fill backstop holes before game.
Field #2 – Intermediate
- Dead ball area marked from dugout pole to backstop pole.
- Ball touching dugout concrete = dead ball.
- Fair ball under/over fence = Ground Rule Double.
- Left & right field gates must remain closed.
- Fill backstop holes before game.
Field #3 – Junior/Senior
- Dead ball area marked from dugout pole to backstop pole.
- Dirt areas near dugouts are live and in play.
- Fair ball under/over fence = Ground Rule Double.
- Left field grass is live and in play.
- Right field gate must remain closed.
- Fill backstop holes before game.
Individual League Rules
In addition to the General Amended Rules and Ground Rules, each division of Peninsula Little League has division-specific regulations regarding game play, pitching limits, player development, and field setup.
