2026 Tee Ball Division Amended Rules

ABSOLUTELY no score, scorebook, or league standings shall be kept.

Coaching & Field Setup

  • On-field coaching is encouraged. There is no limit to the number of approved defensive coaches on the field (background check required).
  • Offensive coaches are allowed only in the base coach boxes and home plate area.
  • All managers and coaches must wear close-toed shoes on the field at all times.
  • The outfield shall be marked with cones/fence at a 90’ radius from home plate.
  • Bases shall be placed 50’ apart.

Game Length

  • Games consist of three innings.
  • Games have a 1 hour and 15-minute time limit.
  • Each inning is complete when all batters on both teams have had one at-bat.
  • Each half-inning ends when the last offensive player completes their at-bat.

Last Batter Rule

  • Prior to the final batter entering the box, the manager must announce “Last Batter.”
  • The last batter is not limited to one base and may advance at their own risk.

At Bats

  • Each batter may take as many swings as necessary to put the ball in play.
  • No strikeouts.
  • Second half of season: coaches may elect to pitch to certain players (limited to three pitches).
  • After three unsuccessful pitches, the batter must hit from the tee until the ball is in play.
  • There is no on-deck circle. Batters must remain in the dugout without a bat until called.

Bat Throwing Rule

  • Any intentional or unintentional throwing of the bat is considered a violation.
  • 1st violation: Warning.
  • 2nd violation: Batter is out.
  • Intentional or 3rd violation: Batter is removed from the game and may not return.

Hits & Fair Ball Rules

  • All hits are limited to a single, except:
  • Ground rule double: Ball rolls past the 90’ radius.
  • Home run: Ball clears the 90’ radius on the fly.
  • Ball must pass the 10’ radius to be considered a fair ball.
  • No extra base advancement on overthrows.

Defensive Play

  • All players shall play in the field.
  • Fielding positions must be rotated after each inning.
  • Every player should play at least one inning in the infield and one inning in the outfield per game.
